RSI delivers an Operator Training Simulator to Sasol in Sasolburg (South Africa)

Sasol Technology's Custom AutoThermal Reformer (ATR) OTS was successfully delivered in May 2010 at Sasol's Plant One in Sasolburg, Republic of South Africa.

The Custom ATR Operator Training Simulator (OTS) Project developed by RSI's team in Eatontown includes a plant-specific Reforming Process Model with two trains and a direct link to Emerson DeltaV™ Operator Stations.

The ATR plant has been operational for approximately six years. Sasol's operation team shared its experience of the actual plant responses with RSI during the model development and testing of the process model, DCS controls and logic configurations to customize the behavior of the simulator.

RSI will train Sasol's engineering staff to maintain and update the ATR model in June 2010. Thanks to the high fidelity realism of the INDISS™ simulation platform, Sasol will use the simulator to train their operators and thus keep their team's competency at a very high level, but will also utilize it as an engineering tool for testing potential process and controls changes prior to plant implementation.

OUTOTEC chooses RSI for a Dynamic Engineering Simulator

OUTOTEC GMBH Germany has contracted RSI for a dynamic engineering simulator and IndissPlus engineering license. RSI will implement custom modeling of Oil shale processing technology ENEFIT 280 based on Outotec's circulating fluid bed technology.

The Life Cycle Dynamic model will be implemented on IndissPlus dynamic Simulation platform.

RSI and SPT Group develop the Training Simulator for ExxonMobil Kizomba

Kizomba Satellites are located in Block 15 off the Angolan coasts. RSI and SPT's joint offer has been selected by GE Oil&Gas to supply the Subsea control system training simulator of the ExxonMobil Angola Kizomba Satellites. This subsea OTS will be used for training operators and engineers in understanding the control and the dynamics of Kizomba multiphase pipelines, subsea wells and production systems.

SPT Group will model Kizomba multiphase pipelines, subsea wells and production systems with OLGA®. The subsea production control systems and the control graphical interfaces will be emulated with INDISS™/IndissPlus™, RSI and IFP' software.

In April 2009, RSI and SPT Group have agreed on a business cooperation to develop, deliver and support Operator Training Simulators and Online Production Management Solutions for the Oil & Gas industry.

RSI Performs Dynamic Simulation Studies for Siemens Oil & Gas

Siemens Oil and Gas has awarded RSI a contract to perform dynamic simulation studies for propane and mixed-refrigerant (MR) compression systems.

The simulators consist of 3 high fidelity dynamic process models based on INDISS™. The aim of the study is to analyze the torque requirement during start-up of the propane, LP and MP-HP MR compression units, designed for LNG onshore plant.

Total Donges Refinery Second Generation FCC and RR training simulators

The HR-Training Department at Total Donges refinery has started up the new generation simulators developped in partnership with RSI.

RSI's High Fidelity Simulators have trained 1400 operators at Total. The FCC and RR simulators are key tools for Total Training plan.

RSI continues its commitment with Total Raffinage and guarantees Total's instructors a high level of performance and availability of the simulators to train future operators.

Petroleum Training Institute in Nigeria

RSI has been awarded two contracts of standard simulators (upstream & LNG and refining) for the Petroleum Training Institute in Efurun, Delta State, Nigeria.

This Training Institute is dedicated to Operators of all petroleum companies in Western Africa.

Both contracts have been obtained through Vramco ltd company.

The scope of work includes on-site hardware & software installation and operators' training at RSI premises in France.

Indiss workshop with Op2B and Petrobras University for Upstream Projects

The top Petrobras upstream specialists attented a workshop hosted by Petrobras University. The seminar was an opportunity for experts to share technical experiences and live product demonstrations. RSI and Op2B, RSI's Brazilian partner, introduced their Life Cycle Simulation Solutions to Petrobras engineers: engineering simulators, operator training simulators and on-line solutions jointly developed with SPT Group.

Petrobras engineers are convinced that Petrobras' challenging new deep water projects can benefit from RSI's innovative solutions.

Petrobras engineers were given a complete presentation of the RSI Group's life cycle solutions.

Upgrade of Existing Simulators of PetroVietnam Fertilizer & Chemical Company

RSI closes a contract with PetroVietnam Fertilizer & Chemical Company to upgrade its existing simulators for the Ammonia and Urea Units.

RSI has been awarded by PetroVietnam Fertilizer & Chemical Company located in HoChimin City (Vietnam) an important upgrade of its existing simulators for the Ammonia and Urea Units.

A detailed auxiliary boiler will be added to the ammonia simulator.

The scope includes the OTS upgrade, the Installation, the Commissioning and the Instructors Training.

The duration of this contract is around 8 months and this project will be carried out from RSI's office in Eatontown (New Jersey).

The SPT Group and RSI celebrate their agreement in Houston, TX

At the occasion of the OTC, the two companies which have recently signed a co-marketing and sales agreement, organized 2 joint meetings to introduce to the industry the newly developed interoperability between EDPM Olga and RSI's simulation platform Indiss.

On May 6, during the OTC, RSI was delighted to be invited to the SPT Group luncheon, as a partner.

On May 8, SPT Group - RSI participated to joint sales & technical meetings in Houston.
